Here you visit  interior of the Ho Chi Ming ‘s Mausoleum to view his remain which is well kept in the glass case(   Subject to opening times the interior of the Mausoleum can be visited).French architecture is a feature of Hanoi , and the nearby former Governor’s Residence is a fine example . You also visit the simple cottage where Uncle Ho lived and worked for the rest of his life then see the One Pillar Pagoda ,and hear the legend of its construction which dated back in 1049.
     Continue to the Temple of Literature, built in 1070 to dedicated to Confucius then later became the first Vietnam National University .It is a nice retreat  from the busy street outside.
Then take to the streets on foot for a walking tour of the Ancient Quarter.( also known as the 36 Streets District). This densely populated corner of the city was once a centre of commerce where goods were sold under the street name of a particular guild. Still a thriving community of sellers today, you will see street names such as Paper street, Sugar street, etc…all are dotted with ancient houses, temples and stores where is popularly known as souvenir  hunter ‘s paradise .
The balance of your day is at leisure. For one who wish  to spend more time to explore the Old Town can stay or your car will transfer you back to hotel for relaxation.
